Ellie Laveau is a shy, quiet sixteen year old girl, but she carries a deadly gift. At her local school they call her a freak and are afraid of her. While walking home from school she is stalked by a strange, beautiful woman who knows much about her, and soon her life is turned around by disturbing dreams of creatures that keep her awake at night, and the threat of danger that seems to have taken an interest in her.

Excerpt

Mr. Thomas started to read from the book, every girl in the class clung onto his every word, his voice, pure ecstasy. His eyes seemed to glow with passion with every word he spoke. Taking my eyes off the book, I turned to Becky who was deeply enthralled by him. I swore I could see her drooling. While he was reading his eye caught mine, and, for a moment it felt like he was reading the words only to me and not a room full of kids. I knew then why everyone was enthralled by him. He had a twinkle in his eye that could turn your entire body to jelly. I tore my eyes away from his and looked straight down at the book.

About the Author

My name is Lloyd Alan Griffiths and I love to write. I decided to write something that I would like to read and maybe others would as well. I was always torn with what I should write, since I have many plot ideas to pick from. Broken just stayed with me and I'm really glad it did since I've been getting amazing feedback that I thought I would never get. I was born in south Wales to a small family in 1990, the only boy with two older sisters who tortured me since I was the youngest. And still do today. Since I was youngest I've always made up story's that could entertain me. I started to write small stories either for school or for myself. I've always written and continued from there, hopefully there will be many more stories to come.
