My Opinion

What more could you want from a book than a kick-ass bounty hunter for a female lead and a hot guy on the run? This book had me from that concept alone and I couldn't wait to get into it. Thankfully it delivered in every aspect and I ended up reading it in one sitting.

Hard To Fight was a strong book. It's throws you straight into the action that surrounds Gracie's job and doesn't stop for the entire book. At no point did I feel this book dragged. I thought it was paced perfectly and there was always something to keep me wanting to read on.

In general, I liked Gracie. She was a strong fighter and she had guts. She didn't have the most typical of jobs for a woman as a bounty hunter, and I liked how the author mixed that theme into the story of her wanting the bigger cases and to prove we worth. She may have been badass, but she also had her own doubts about herself.

Moreover I liked the relationship. There was definitely a spark with Raide and there were quite a few steamy scenes. Although I didn't connect with Raide as much as I could have, I liked him as a character and the emotions that developed in the relationship tugged on my heart strings as the lies came out.

As for the story, the majority was good. It had a bit of everything I liked. The only reason I didn't rate this book a five was because of the final few chapters. Everything did seem too easy with Dean, but maybe that's just me.

Overall a great read and I'll definitely be looking out for more by this author.
