Description:
No one said breaking up was easy, but escaping to Kauai only adds to Rachel Miller's confusion when fate collides her with Jackson Clark. He’s everything Rachel wants—confident, charismatic, and in charge—but his past catches up to them, creating rough waves that seems impossible to calm. Will their love for each other be strong enough or will it crash against the shore?
My Opinion
This was a sweet read that had a summery feeling. I read book one not long ago and having enjoyed that one I couldn't not request this. I will admit I wasn't sure I remembered who everyone was, but it came back to me in drips.
Something Amazing held my interest well through the first half. I liked the setting, and it just had this feel good summery vibe about it. Although Rachel had just broken up with somebody she wasn't miserable. She was an easy character to like and I enjoyed the flirting with Jax.
Saying that, the book did lose me a bit towards the end. The twists were kind of predictable and for me they came too late. I won't reveal it here, but I couldn't really connect with what happened. There wasn't enough emotion for me as it all seemed a little quick.
Regardless, I still found this an enjoyable read. It was an easy, laid back book that was sweet.
