Release Date: March 17th 2016

Publisher: Self-published

Description:
There are a few things I, Evie Hart, thought I knew for sure:

1. That I hated Griff Sinclair ever since that night. You know, the night where he totally pulled a Mr. Darcy on me at the dance.

2. That Griff Sinclair hated me. I mean, seriously, would it kill him to smile at me. Just once.

3. That my life plan for post-graduation was golden.

4. That I knew exactly what I wanted.

5. And none of that included Griff.

But everything I thought I knew is thrown out the window by the biggest surprise of my life. All it takes is one touch, one kiss, one night . . . that leads to so much more.

I need to know what Griff means to me, what I mean to him, and what really happened all those years ago. If we even have a future together. And I need to figure it out before we graduate in seven days. Before I move out of Vermont, hundreds of miles away from Griff. I've taken risks, but this might be the biggest gamble of my life.

My Opinion

This is the first book I've read by this author and the hate-to-love aspect was what intrigued me into requesting it since it sounded like a fun premise.

Dream With Me was a very quick, fast-paced read. However, I'm not sure what to make of it. I think I went in expecting more and for me the hate-to-love aspect just fell short. I couldn't understand the characters' reasons or how they could forgive and forget so easily. For me things moved too fast.

Saying that, I could see the potential in the book. The story sets up some interesting themes and character, but I think the author needed to delve deeper to create a connection. I felt she barely scratched the surface with what could have been and things were underdeveloped. I wanted a slower build, a gradual acceptance of each other and spark, and then all of the drama. For me this was a very sharp book that flicked from one thing to another with little explanation. I'm just not sure I bought into it.

Overall Dream with Me was a quick read. It highlights some good potential but for me it needed a little more development.
