Having had a productive career in telecommunications, I've always had a love of the written word. I have always admired those who can skillfully express feelings and events in written form. The ‘Forever Young’ vampire series is my first attempt at fiction. The only other book I have published is titled ‘Secrets of the Bible’ and it was published only as a paperback in 1989.
I love to write and I thoroughly enjoy creating characters and developing them to where my readers not only know what they look like, but what they are thinking. I include private thoughts of different individuals in my writing, always italicized so as to be easy to differentiate from dialog.
Developing a plot and filling it with shocks, surprises, humor and tenderness is a goal of mine in any novel. I fill my stories with the full range of human emotions; from true love to extreme hatred, from warm companionship to extreme rage, and from laughter to tears. Surprises and the full range of human emotions should be liberally sprinkled throughout the length of a good story in my view. That is why including the intimate private thoughts of many of the characters is important to me.
My goal is to transport the reader to a place where he or she cannot otherwise go simply by the power and influence of my words. It is my hope to nourish and refine that ability in my goal of becoming a skilled author.
I live in the southeastern United States with my wife Kathy on a country site of some fifteen acres. Our companions are our dog Meggie and twelve hens which produce the finest eggs we have ever eaten.
