My Opinion

Okay, I caved and bought this. I've wanted it for ages but I have a thing about buying novellas. Anyway it was only 99p so I thought what the hell. I've always loved Ryley and I needed to know what happens in this.

Anyway, I'm glad I caved. This was an adorable novella that was cute, sweet, and filled in a few gaps between the books in the series. Ryley melted my heart once again--I need a Ryley!


If you follow my reviews and blog you'll know I'm a huge fan of this series and with the last book releasing soon I'm glad I could extend it a bit more. If you love the Gloves Off seriously buy the novella. It will put a smile on your face.

My Opinion

I can't believe this series is over. I first got into L.P's books when I picked up Meant For Me on NetGalley. Since then I was hooked and I've loved her fighters the most. Also, since reading her work I've never found an MMA romance that compares and I'm sad it's come to an end.

I knew Kyle would get his redemption in this book, but what surprised me is that the author somehow made me forgive him too. He's been the constant bad guy in the series who I loved to hate, yet in this book I slowly grew to love him. He shows he's changed and I liked his sweeter side around Megan as well as his fierce protectiveness.

I was surprised that the book starts with Kyle being able to walk again. I assumed his recovery would have been written and used to further his change. Whilst that's what happened, it's not something you get to see. I would have liked a few chapters or even flashbacks where I could have seen his thoughts in the wheelchair, but doing it this way did mean the author skipped a slow recovery that probably would have left little to work with.

Anyway, Megan was also a great character. She was feisty but also compassionate. The fact she gave Kyle a chance when no one else would drew me to her and made her loveable. She helped me see beyond Kyle's past and drew a new side out of him to help him grow even further. Similarly, her own past still haunts her and for that reason she's an easy character to feel for.

It doesn't really need to be said again, but L.P weaves and intriguing story that had me unable to stop reading again. The action, romance, and character development are brilliant making this one of my favourite series.


Overall this was a great conclusion. I do hope there will be a few more novellas or the characters link in other novels, but I can't wait to see what this author releases next. I love her Second Chance series just as much and I'd highly recommend both series.

My Opinion

I'm kind of rendered speechless right now. The only word that comes to mind is wow.

In Camden's Redemption, L. P. Dover has done it again. I have been excited to read Camden's story for a while because he's been such a complex character throughout the series, and his book definitely didn't disappoint.

From start to finish this book had me hooked. It takes you on Camden's journey as he grows and develops into a character worthy of redemption. I will admit that I've kind of always had a soft spot for him. He put up a tough front but this book shows his softer side as he comes to terms with the consequences of his actions. He's a tortured and troubled hero you can really vouch for.

Similarly, Brooklyn was brilliant for him. She was strong, feisty, and kick-ass. It was exactly what Camden needed and I liked her unwavering faith in his change. They were perfect for one another.

As well as this just like with all of L.P's books, the story is just as action-packed, and full of steamy romance. Neither of the aspects disappointed and I was kept turning the pages even when I really should have been doing other things.

If there was one thing I'd say, it's things did seem a little quick with certain things between Cam and B (a few reveals come to mind). I also did figure out who was behind things but it didn't detract from the story in anyway because the characters are so great.


Overall I loved this and I'm so sad there's only going to be one more book in this series. I know I say it every time, but L.P's Gloves Off series is my all-time favourite MMA series. Her characters are second to none and I would highly recommend them.

My Opinion

I think I'm running out of words to describe how much I love this author's work. I seem to just be repeating myself now, but that doesn't make it any less true. L.P. Dover has created a great cast of characters in this series and I adore them all--Paxton was no exception.

This book has everything I love about this author: romance, suspense, tension, and of course hot MMA fighters. I really struggle to put down a Gloves Off book and despite telling myself I'm going to drag reading it out so that I get a few days with the characters, I always finish them within a day.

Paxton's Promise tells of Gabby's story and picks up where her relationship ends with Pax from Ryley's Revenge. Whilst it is a standalone read, I'd read all of the books in order as there are references to past books/character stories, and they're also too good not to.

I really liked Gabby ever since she first made an appearance in the series. She's a strong female lead and I like that she's not afraid to speak her mind or stand up for those she cares about. Moreover, I like the tension between her and Pax. It made for an interesting start as she tries to resist him and deny herself what she really wants. Similarly, you see a different side to Pax in this book and I loved that. You get his back story and just like all of the other fighters, you can't help but fall in love with him.

I will admit that I didn't really know what else was going to happen in this book because I bought the paperback as soon as I saw it was live without reading the blurb. Therefore parts with Rage--which I'm not going to reveal--shocked me slightly as it wasn't what I was expecting. I really enjoyed the sinister/dark underground fighting world, and how it added this dangerous undertone to the book. Also with the added drama caused by Rage it really became an engaging read that was impossible to put down.

The only negative was that I did guess what was going on before the end. However, I really don't care about that because I love L.P's writing. Also, Mason returns! YAY! So that makes me care even less because he's still my favourite since he introduced me to this author.

Overall, Paxton's Promise is another brilliant addition to this series, and near the top on my list of favourites. I'd highly recommend this author's work, and I can't wait for Camden's book now!

My Opinion

L.P Dover has done it again! I have been highly anticipating Ryley's Revenge since I finished Tyler's book and it didn't disappoint. I loved Ryley in Gloves Off 1, even if I hated the ending for making me wait. However it was totally worth it and I'm glad I trusted the author to complete the story satisfyingly.

Once more, this books is filled with plenty of drama, MMA-ness (probably not a word), and hot romance with brilliant characters who make you you love them. It moves at a fast pace and just like all of the other books it leaves you wanting more after every chapter so you can't stop reading. I knew I shouldn't have started this so late in the evening but I had to because I couldn't put it off anymore.

There is a mixture of both light and dark in Ryley's Revenge, and I thought the emotions and how the intensity built was believable and effective with hooking me. I thought Ryley grew brilliantly and fitted into the roll with Ashleigh. I loved that he steps up and is the good twin. You can really feel for him and I loved that he was mostly good but with a sexy, devilish side.

Similarly, I enjoyed how the it unfolded. I will admit that I would have liked more drama between Ryley and Ashleigh and the start and for him to punish her more, but I can understand why he didn't. I think Camdem kept things interesting and you really grow to see an extreme side of him that makes you dislike him--I can't wait for his story to see if he changes.


Overall, I can't wait for Paxton's book now! I love this series and hate that I've got to wait until the end of December. I'd highly recommend any book by L.P. Dover.

My Opinion

I've been waiting for this since I finished reading A Fighter's Desire on it's release day, so I was ecstatic I received an ARC. I will admit that I have slightly overdosed on MMA romances and gone off them, however L.P was the first author I read in this genre with Meant for Me so her books always excite me. Personally, no other author's characters have lived up to L.P's and I just love this series.

Tyler's undoing was no exception. It has everything I love from this author: hot romance, intensity, and suspense. I liked how L.P moved away from Gabriella's relationship with Tyler and gave us a new character to fall in love with. Kacey was great. You love her instantly from how she treats Tyler and it was great to see him work for her. Of course the reader knows her secrets so you're waiting for it all to kick off, but I found the emotions to be very believable and all the characters were easy to connect with. L.P has created a brilliant cast in her MMA books, and I'm glad they all get a look in throughout the series. It's clear they're a close community and more like a family.

Similarly, there are also clear 'villains' aka Kyle. He's a great antagonist and someone you love to hate. He creates a good amount of angst, drama, and tension in Tyler's Undoing and he actually shocked me with the lengths he went to, to bring Tyler down. His ending was satisfying though.

Likewise, I really liked Tyler's intensity that was balanced well by his humour and flirting. The emotions in Tyler and Kacey's relationship draws you in and I couldn't stop reading.

Overall, this book was brilliant, just like all the other. I love this author's work--whether it's Second Chance or Gloves Off--and would highly recommend any of her books. They're great reads, with great characters and I guarantee you won't be able to put them down! Now to wait for the next book.

My Opinion

I've have been waiting for this book since I saw the author announce it's release so when I saw it up on Amazon, I had to buy it instantly. I will also say that it messed up my plans by arriving early and forcing me to start it before getting any work done--not that I'm complaining.

L.P. Dover's Meant for Me was what introduced me to the world of MMA romances and she still remains my favourite author in the genre. I love her fighters and I can't wait to see where she takes this series. It had everything I've come to expect plus one more aspect.

One of the things I liked about this book was that they were a grittier version of the fighters' lifestyles. It was a realistic portrayal of their lives and gave an all access view of their true characters without the true love aspect. I will admit because this book is split into two parts, with two stories, the sections were shorter so I felt I was left hanging with each ending. However, I liked that the girls were continued throughout both books. Their relationship was believable and I liked their strong personalities. The endings also have me intrigued as to what is install for the guys next.


Overall, this is a hot book that shows the gritty, edgier side to the fighters'lifestyles. It was a gripping, page-turning read and it has just made me want the next book straight away!
