My Opinion

I think I'm running out of new ways to describe how much I love RVD books. I feel every review I write for her sounds exactly the same because I just adore the worlds she creates and her characters. However, I'll give it a go. If I repeat myself, I'm sorry, but all of her books are great.

I didn't really know what to expect from this read. That was probably down to the fact I didn't read the blurb. However, I kind of liked going in blind. It meant I could be surprised by Ian's company and what he did for work. I thought it was a unique take on the matchmaking industry--having the guy as the teacher.

While the plot is predictable, the characters, like always, are second to none. I loved the playful, light-hearted nature of the book and the constant banter, flirting, or cheeky comments had me smiling the whole way through. I can always count on RVD to make a crappy day better.

With regards to the relationship, there was definitely chemistry between Ian and Blake. I liked how Ian's feelings developed as he fell for Blake. I thought it was believable. I also liked how Blake wasn't afraid to stand up to Ian. She was flirty and messed with him.

Overall, another great read by RVD. I love her work and she is one of my favourite and I can't see anyone knocking her out of the top position any time soon. If I could rate more than five stars I would.
