My Opinion
This box set will take you a while to get through (took me 9 days) as all the books are full-length novels but it's definitely worth the time. It was exactly what I was looking for as I'm going through a military/cop phase right now so this seemed like a great option. Anyway, I'll give a mini review on each book now, otherwise I'll be writing pages.

Stop in the Name of Love by Nina Bruhns
It took me a while to get into this book. I felt the names were a bit strange as for me they felt slightly dated and old and I also found their language t be annoying at times--especially some of their thoughts. Because of that, I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy this book, which wouldn't have been a good start to the box set. However, it definitely picked up and I'm glad the thoughts became less. I found myself unable to stop reading by the end and I did find the characters grew on me as their story developed. A good read.

Red Rock Rises (The Red Rock Series, Book 1) by Taylor Lee
This was a good book that kept me hooked all of the way through. There was plenty going on to hold my interest and there were a few twists. The only downside for me that for a decorated military person who was supposedly strong, Jesse did seem to break down at the slightest things. It just didn't fit with how everyone portrayed her. Overall though, I did enjoy it.

Dirty Little Secrets by Julie LetoI really struggled with this book and thought of marking it as DNF a few times. I found that it didn't hold my attention as well as the previous books and that I skimmed quite a few sections that seemed to drag. I liked the overall concept and idea but it wasn't hot enough for me and the action took too long to arrive which was annoying as it was good when it did.

Saved by Lorhainne EckhartThere's a part of me telling me that I should hate this book because of the leading male (Eric). However, another part of me really enjoyed the overall story. I could feel  for Abby and her situation, plus a lot happened which was a surprise due to the isolated location of the ship. It may have not been as steamy as the other books in this box set and the leading male may have been a complete jackass with his chauvinistic attitudes, but it was a strangely good read--despite winding me up.

Everything He Never Wanted by Mary LeoDNF

I tried  to read this book but I just found it a bit cringey. When I read the daughter telling her mother she needed "dirty sex", I just knew I wouldn't be able to finish this book. I found from then on I couldn't help but imagine the MC as an old woman. Sorry, not for me.

A Girl, A Guy and A Ghost by Patricia MasonI will admit that I only read the blurb and the first page of this book. It just didn't sound like my thing so I couldn't bring myself to read it as I wouldn't have picked it up had it been sold separately. I can't comment on the story or writing, so please don't avoid it, this is just a personal taste in the books I like to read.

Deathblow by Dana MartonThis wasn't an easy read for me because of the subject nature, but it was a good one. I liked Joe and the situations Wendy found herself in were dealt with sensitively. The story was written well and had me hooked from start to finish. There was a lot of action and a relationship built nicely among the hardships the characters faced. I may have liked a bit more hotness, but then again it may have not fitted well because of the nature of the book. I really like this read.

One Night to Kill (Seven Nights, Book 1) by Rita HerronI loved this book and I definitely think it was my favourite in the box set. It was fun, flirty, had an element of danger and the characters were great. I just adored Max and he was definitely one of the hot alpha males you get in these types of reads. I liked his strength and control but also how he lost it around Willow.
The danger that surrounded Willow built nicely and who was behind it was hidden well and it complimented how the characters fell for each other. I also liked the small twist at the end!

Snowbound (The Protector Series, Book 2) by Karen FenechDNF

I tried to stick with this book and I made it to 65% but I was finding myself skimming more and more as the book went on. It sounded interesting from the blurb and started well but sadly, it just didn't hold my attention well so I decided to stop.

BONUS Novella: Secret Identity by Jill Sanders
This was an okay read. I found it a little hard to connect with the characters and it was shorter that the rest so it didn't have as much detail, but it was still an interesting read.
