My Opinion
This was a lot shorter than I thought it would be when I requested it. In fact, it was a novella rather than a novel so although I was slightly disappointed by that, I was also pleased as it meant I could breeze through this book in an hour as a break.
Knock out was an intense read that moved at a quick pace. It was very much an in-the-moment read with only a little background on the character. I liked the intensity of the relationship and the emotions the characters went through--they pulled at my heartstrings.
The only thing I would have wanted more of was the MMA side. I thought there would have been more because it was virtually nonexistent, which was disappointing as it was what interested me to begin with. As well as that, I think it would make a great full length novel and would have loved for it to be longer, it could have used a bit more fleshing out.
Overall though, this was an enjoyable short read that I really liked. It was intense and a bit of a whirlwind but I liked that.
